Steven Shapiro
Steven spent 34 years as a public-school educator and emerged as a national thought leader in experiential learning. He hosted the acclaimed podcast Experience Matters, featuring national experts including Daniel Pink, Tony Wagner, and Father Greg Boyle. Beyond his work as a high school teacher, program director, and district leader, he trained teachers at The Ohio State University, provided professional learning for educators in emerging democracies, and was a regular keynote speaker. His most important work was partnering with Susan to raise their three children.

Nancy Shapiro Rapport
Nancy spent the majority of her 34-year public-education career as a school counselor, supporting students and parents through the challenging middle years. Her leadership in professional development and crisis management showed her ability to identify needs, empathize with stakeholders, and deliver results. As a certified Hudson Institute coach, Nancy leads courses on learner mindset and question thinking for the Inquiry Institute, helping adults pursue a life of curiosity and possibility. Most importantly, she is the proud parent of two adult children, Emily and Jacob.
