Our Family Culture is a mobile app that helps parents build the kind of family life most of us are quietly hoping for: kids who know what their family stands for, who feel secure, connected, and ready for whatever the world throws at them.
Instead of another app competing for your kids’ attention, this one is built to get you off your phone faster. Spend five minutes a day, put the phone down, and have a real conversation with your family.
How It Works
Pick your family’s Fundamentals
Choose from 44 concrete, teachable behaviors (like “Bounce Back” or “Do the Right Thing”) that reflect what your family actually values, not vague ideals, but real habits you can practice together.
Practice one a week
Short daily prompts, discussion questions, videos, and even children’s books make it easy to bring each Fundamental to life at the dinner table, in the car, or before bed.
Build a shared family language
Over time, your family develops its own vocabulary and rituals: the phrases, check-ins, and traditions that become “just how we do things” in your house.
A Note From Two Bexley Neighbors
We taught and counseled kids in Central Ohio schools for a combined 68 years before we built Our Family Culture. Bexley is the community where we live, where we raised our own families, and where we’ve spent our careers showing up for other people’s kids.
So when it came time to choose the very first school community to offer this app to, before any other district, there was really only one answer. It had to be Bexley.

How much time does this take?

My kids are different ages. Does this still work?
Yes. Fundamentals are written for every age, from picture books for younger kids to real conversations for teens. Families with multiple kids can practice the same Fundamental together at whatever level fits each child.
